WheelsOnline.ca is Canada's car dealer directory and vehicle marketplace, operated by Lot Ranger Inc. of Peterborough, Ontario, Canada. The WheelsOnline.ca name is owned by Electric Ink Innovations Inc. and used under licence. This policy explains what we collect when you use the site, how we use it, and the choices you have. We handle personal information in accordance with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable provincial privacy law.

Browsing. You can browse WheelsOnline.ca anonymously. Standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) are kept for security and troubleshooting.

Your account. If you create a My Wheels account, we store your contact details and the preferences you save - favourite vehicles, saved searches, and alerts - so the site can work for you.

Messages to dealerships. When you send a question, test-drive request, or offer about a vehicle, your message and contact details go to the dealership you chose to contact. From that point the dealership is responsible for how it handles your information, as described in its own privacy practices.

Financing pre-approval. If you apply for pre-approval, the application asks for sensitive details such as date of birth, employment, income, and Social Insurance Number. This information is used only to arrange financing: it is shared with the dealership handling your request and, at your direction, with financial institutions - never used for marketing, and handled with additional care.

• We never sell personal information. To anyone.
• We do not run third-party advertising trackers. Cookies are used for essential functions: your session, your language, and your saved preferences.
• We do not move your data outside Canada for storage - the platform is hosted in Peterborough, Ontario.

• Dealerships you contact - that is the point of the site, and it happens only when you choose to reach out.
• Service providers that deliver parts of the service (hosting, email and SMS delivery). They receive only what their function requires.
• Financial institutions - only for a financing request you submit, at your direction.
• Legal requirements - where disclosure is required by law or to protect rights, property, or safety.

We send you what you asked for: replies, alerts you set up, and messages about your account. Marketing is sent only with consent, identifies us, and includes a working unsubscribe honoured promptly, as required by Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL).

Access to systems is restricted, protected by authentication, encrypted in transit, and logged. If a breach of safeguards creates a real risk of significant harm, we will notify affected individuals and report to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada as soon as feasible, as PIPEDA requires. We keep information as long as your account is active or as needed for legal obligations, then remove it.

You may request access to, or correction of, personal information we hold about you, or close your account, by contacting us below. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

The site is not directed at anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from minors.
